The World Largest Salmon BBQ is set for Saturday, July 5th in Fort Bragg’s Noyo Harbor. You don’t want to miss this Fort Bragg favorite!

Tickets for the barbecue are $30 at the door or $23 at Harvest Market. Admission to the festivities is free. Come and listen to the music and enjoy the afternoon in Noyo Harbor.

The barbecue starts at 11am and goes to 6 pm. No dogs allowed in the dining area.

It’s All For A Great Cause: Restoring The Local Salmon Fisheries

The annual BBQ benefits the Salmon Restoration Association (SRA), a group of fishermen, biologists, and concerned businesses and citizens of the area, started in 1971 to raise funds to improve the salmon fisheries of the region.

The SRA now works to restore streams and creeks to their once healthy habitats where Coho salmon can spawn on their own and their young can live and grow until its time to return to the ocean. Many local non-profit environmental organizations, as well as Trout Unlimited, the California Conservation Corps, NOAA, California Fish and Game and other government entities are involved in these projects.
